Thank you for taking the time to read this carefully as it is important.  We hope that you and your loved ones are well.

As you all are likely wondering how to move forward during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are also wondering how best to assist you.  We can imagine that most of you will be transitioning to some form of telephone or video based meetings with your patients.  Some of you have reached out to us already and asked if the WMT or MSVT can be given over the phone or via a video feed of some sort.  At this time we are hesitant to advise people to administer the test this way as there is no way to determine if the patient is alone.  Sadly there are people out there who would take advantage of the crisis and record the testing stimuli without your knowledge.  The integrity of the test is of paramount importance.

If you have a situation where you can physically observe the patient and speak with them via phone or intercom this is acceptable.  This would mean that you are in the same building and can observe that they are alone in the room. However if you cannot physically see the room the patient is in we cannot be certain that they are alone or that they are not recording the test stimuli.
